Course Entry Requirements

You should be either an existing marine engineer, or training towards a career in the maritime/offshore industry where you will be interacting with high voltage equipment.

At least a basic level of electrical understanding will be required to successfully complete this course.

Anyone attending must also be able to read, speak and write to a good level of English.

Course Description

Specifically made for the marine and offshore industry, this training course gives you – subject to client approval – the training you need to perform limited switching operations in HV areas onboard ships and on offshore platforms.

During this course, you’ll learn about restricted switching operations, to monitor the performance and condition of a system (including relay operation) and be able to do all activities in a safe, competent manner in line with all regulations and safety precautions.

This marine high voltage course is designed to train you up to the level of Authorised Person. We also run a Senior Authoried Person marine high voltage course (HVMARS04).

There are no peripheral reading requirements for this course.
